We hope you had as wonderful of a holiday season as we had.  Chrissy got to go to Atlanta, Georgia, for the holidays, while Simon stayed home and guarded the house and made sure that the squirrels and birds were watched (and got fed treats by Kristen, our next door neighbor).

It's getting close to New Years and we're working on our New Year's Resolutions.

So far, Chrissy has decided that her resolutions include:

1) giving lots of wet slobbery kisses - especially when she wants someone to give her treats or take her on car rides.

2) making sure that everyone knows she wants to go along whenever a car ride is proposed (especially if it's to a restaurant or ice cream store)

3) chasing all the squirrels and chipmunks off the deck and away from the bird feeders

4) sleeping curled up next to Dale as often as possible (especially if it means getting to sleep on the big bed instead of on her own bed)

5) barking at anyone walking down the street (especially if they are walking their dog) then running to the pantry door to remind Dale that she was a good watch dog, so she needs a treat now

6) protecting the deck from strangers by sleeping on it on warm sunny days

7) squeaking her toys whenever she wants attention

8) chasing Simon periodically

9) inviting all her puppy friends over to play at least once a month

10) giving lots of wet slobbery kisses whenever she's in trouble, along with batting her "puppy eyes" to ensure that people forget to be mad at her

Simon's Resolutions so far include:

1) hissing at Chrissy when Dale's around, so Dale thinks Chrissy was picking on Simon

2) looking with disdain at his regular food in an attempt to get Dale to give him treats instead

3) scattering Dale's papers on the floor whenever she leaves them out on the table, so he can watch them float through the air

4) watching the birds and squirrels and chipmunks through the window and plotting how to catch them

5) getting on the big bed first, so everyone knows it's HIS territory, not Chrissy's

6) climbing on laps when people are watching TV, and making them scratch behind his ears and pet him

7) finding the warmest spots in the house to sleep, (even if they are in everyone else's way)

8) finding the sunniest window sills and claiming them for his own

9) ensuring that everyone understands that Cats Rule, Dogs Drool

10) ensuring that his dignity and regal bearing are always in place and that everyone understands that he is royalty and should always be treated as such.
